Our innovative products and services are deployed in the most remote locations on the earth - from the bottom of the ocean to the peak of the Matterhorn - to study man-made and natural seismicity. As a member of the Nanometrics team, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with all areas of the business to expand the boundaries of seismic research and explore the unknown/discover the inner workings of our planet.

**About You**:
You have a proven track record of developing and articulating value propositions, technical requirements, and robust business cases for complex technical new product initiatives, based on a thorough understanding of customer use cases and market information. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills; the ability to plan, organize and prioritize effectively and make sound, logical decisions. You can manage various projects with tight deadlines and possess strong client-facing, organizational and interpersonal skills.

**The Team**:
The Seismic Instruments and Systems (SIS) division of Nanometrics is looking for an outcome-focused Product Manager, who brings a passion and keen interest in the development, market release, and ongoing lifecycle management of instruments and accessories utilized in Seismic Monitoring and Warning systems. This includes developing compelling value propositions, strong business cases, and technical product specifications while coordinating with cross-functional teams (R&D, Sales, Marketing, and Operations) to realize a compelling product vision and comprehensive product roadmap, in support of the company’s long-term revenue growth and portfolio diversification objectives.

**What You Bring**:
- Define and articulate a compelling product vision and product backlog with value propositions that align with the strategic direction for Seismic hardware products.- Create persuasive business cases for new products based on market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape. Present and defend these cases to senior executives, addressing their concerns and adapting your communication style to influence and gain their approval.- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, sales and manufacturing to define product specifications, align strategies, and ensure the successful execution of approved product initiatives- Manage the complete lifecycle of products, from initial concept through end-of-life- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to support the commercialization of both new and legacy products

**What You Bring**:
- 5+ years of experience in product management of complex high-tech products, with solid technical understanding combined with strong business acumen- Proven ability to translate high-level strategic market objectives into cross-functional action plans the execution of which leads to the desired business outcome- Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage various concurrent projects with tight deadlines

**Assets**:
- Understanding of markets and trends, competitive landscape, industry product offerings and customer challenges- Pragmatic Certified Product Manager designation- BSc in Engineering, Physics, or related fields- Product/technology development process experience- Technical Sales, support or business development experience- Experience in Geoscience or Geophysical hardware products
