Join us for some action, adventure and a lot of comedy as you go live on location at various YMCA after school programs throughout Peel Region to mentor media literacy opportunities in stop motion animation and more to students between 7 - 12. Perfect for people with a film and media background, education or youth based recreation experience and looking for supplemental income.

Film Camp in A Box provides after school programming in partnership with local schools. Our mentors are provided with a kit of equipment consisting of Mac books and stop motion cameras (case that fits in a car) to provide 1 hr sessions between 4:30 - 5:30) Monday - Friday. Mentors will always have teaching staff present to assist with behaviour management. Total number of instructional hrs is 5 / week.

If you are an independent, engaging, youth-centric, collaborative person with a background in movie making, experience with Macs and iMovie (or similar) or willing to learn, and looking to mentor young people, then we want you to join us on the red carpet this year.

You must have reliable transportation (car), be able to lift up to 20 lbs out of your vehicle, provide us with a current vulnerable sectors check and be able to give high fives:

Workshops will begin the first week of January through to June and then can transition to full time summer.
