**JOB DESCRIPTION- Manufacturing Specialist**

**What are the responsibilities associated with this position?**

ANDON electrical support as part of the assembly and manufacturing cell evening team.
CAD and drafting using E2A and MicroStation PowerDraft.
Working on a team focused on customer needs.
Finding solutions to complex issues.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings according to ANSI Y14.5 standards.
Must be able to actively participate in an environment with several stakeholders and duties.
Performing various other required duties.

**Skills**:
Electrical knowledge for design and drafting.
Knowledge of the E2A CAD tool and of 2D MicroStation PowerDraft.
Knowledge of the Lean Six Sigma tools.
Good interpersonal skills.
Clear, logical communication of information.
Autonomy; sense of responsibility.
Focused on teamwork; has good team spirit.
Ability to manage priorities, work on several projects at once, stay on schedule and meet tight deadlines.
Good organizational skills.
Ability to adapt to change.
Attention to detail; pride in a job well done.
Knowledge of Excel and Access an asset.

**Qualifications and knowledge**:
Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or equivalent and 2-3 years of experience in the field OR a technical diploma in a related field and 3 years experience in the field.
Experience in an ANDON support environment is a major asset.
Basic knowledge of the MS Office Suite.
Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with interdisciplinary teams.
Bilingualism.
May require occasional travel worldwide.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract

Pay: $17.26-$50.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Victoria, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Electrical engineering: 3 years (preferred)
- ANDON Support: 3 years (preferred)
- E2A CAD tool: 3 years (preferred)
- Design & Drafting: 3 years (preferred)
- French: 3 years (preferred)
