St. Clair College is seeking an experienced and motivated professional who shares our commitment to quality and student success.
**Description**:
The School of Nursing and the School of Health Sciences require a Program Manager - Term Position who will be responsible for working with the Dean, Chairs, program coordinators, faculty, and partner sites. This position includes program semester scheduling, hiring of part time staff, the preparation, managing and assigning placements, developing, and maintaining good relationships with clinical partners, and problem-solving clinical placement issues. This position reports to the Dean, School of Nursing and School of Health Sciences.
**The Responsibilities of the Program Manager includes, but is not limited to**:
- Provides program scheduling to maximize the staffing and program requirements
- Provides operational management of the program placements
- Establishes effective communication and relationships with all academic program staff to collaboratively ensure that placements are secured for the student’s program/level/course;
- Assists in the hiring of part-time instructors/support staff;
- Assists in problem-solving challenges/issues regarding students meeting objectives in the placement experience;
- Continually seeks to build relationships with new agencies for placement opportunities;
- Ensures all regulatory requirements related to placements are adhered to;
- The Manager would also be responsible for the implementation/oversight of Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Managerial experience in the clinical practice setting will be considered an asset. Additional skills include excellent oral and written communications skills, strong interpersonal skills and a competent understanding of computer programs.
