**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- As a key member of the team, perform the monthly IFRS 17 actuarial and financial reporting in a timely and accurate manner.
- Enhance the actuarial analytics capacity by utilizing and developing the functionality of the SAS IFRS 17 solution.
- Support the Actuary in the testing and implementation of the new system for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
- Contribute to the company’s annual stress testing related tasks.
- Assist in IFRS 17 actuarial liability cashflow model enhancement, testing, and validation.
- Support regulatory capital forecasting and perform Quantitative Impact Study according to regulator’s instructions, as required.
- Gather and analyze data using various analytical tools to create reports on an ad-hoc basis, help senior management identify trends and provide insights for insurance revenue, insurance service expenses and loss ratio.
- Provide support in streamlining and automation of the end-to-end IFRS 17 valuation process.
- Prepare and document the key procedures; maintain and enhance the control process for IFRS 17 financial reporting.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

**REQUIRED **COMPETENCIES**
- Prior working experience in IFRS 17 actuarial modeling, an asset.
- Experience using and developing actuarial and financial models with SAS, SQL, Excel or other software.
- Experience preparing, transforming, and analyzing large data sets in a relational database.
- Experience developing and presenting analytics in Excel.
- Practical statistical experience in an academic or business setting.
- Ability to synthesize large amounts of data and draw insights and recommendations.
- Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to deliver under tight deadlines in a rewarding and
fast-paced environment.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.

**EDUCATION**
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, business or another quantitative field.
- An advanced degree is considered as an asset.
