We are growing, and we need to expand our professional team in the role of **Patient Counsellor/Optometric Consultant**

Since 2007, we have helped enhance the lives of thousands of people from Barrie and Simcoe County who have chosen us to perform their vision correction procedure. Established by our Medical Director and Chief Surgeon, Dr. Fouad Tayfour, our centres were the first to adopt LASIK as the procedure of choice to correct myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism. Technological advancements aside, we continue to be a leader in this treatment space for the personable approach that we take with every patient. Our professional team provides exceptional service and employs the highest standards of patient care.
- Working co-operatively with our referring Optometric community in the Barrie-Huronia area, managing a regular call cycle to ensure consistent “touch points.”
- Managing and successfully executing Continuing Medical Education Programs and in-office Lunch and Learn events with our referring Optometric community.
- Discussing and explaining laser refractive surgery options and premium intraocular lens choices for cataract surgery.
- Utilizing online platforms to assist in patient education.
- Ensuring patients understand their condition and recommended procedures, provide any special instructions to patients upon leaving, including knowledge of the procedure and the centre.
- Scheduling procedures and return appointments for follow-ups, as necessary.
- Properly notating information in the Electronic Medical Record.

**Experience**:

- Optician/ Optometry: 1 year (required)

Work Location: Hybrid role split between the Barrie Lasik Centre and local optometric offices.
