**What will you do**:
**Major Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for and a contributor to the monthly and quarterly closing process as it relates to revenue recognition, product margin, accounts receivable and deferred revenue.
- Maintain a close working relationship with operational managers to assist with the conversion of order to revenue to cash.
- Review sales order documentation in accordance with company policies including industry specific accounting rules related to software revenue recognition.
- Review profitability analyses on individual deals
- Review monthly recurring revenue schedules, which includes invoicing and collections
- Manage, review and assist in the maintenance renewal process
- Assist senior management with quarterly maintenance forecast and projections
- Ad hoc analysis on sales i.e. product mix, sales trends, margin analysis, vertical analysis, etc.
- Assist in integration of new acquisitions
- Recommend various business process improvements that will streamline the revenue closing process.
- Work closely with operations / sales in the standardization of sales lead / order tracking through automated information feed into finance ERP.
- Work closely with the Company’s external independent auditors.
- Effectively manage, lead and mentor the revenue team.
- Perform technical research on revenue recognition and/or other complex accounting issues, and provide accounting consultation advice to business partners under IFRS rules
- Draft and maintain revenue recognition policy and/or other accounting policies and memos
- Solid understanding of new revenue recognition standards (IFRS 15 implementation experience would be an asset).
- Participate in contract negotiation in collaboration with sales, legal, and business operational teams
- Responsible for timely and accurate completion of all month, quarter, and year-end revenue related close times
- Analyze revenue results monthly and report to senior management.
- Provides regular project status updates to the project managers and operations / sales teams.
- Prepare and complete other projects and tasks that may be required from time-to-time
- This role may evolve as the company grows and individuals need to be accustomed to changes within job responsibilities.
- Ability to travel on short notices.

**What will you bring**:

- CPA-CGA/CMA/CA Designation
- 6-10 years’ work experience in multi-currency, multi-entity environment
- Solid understanding of accounting and finance principles
- Experience with forecasting, budgeting and financial modeling
- Ability to work with senior management and influence decision making
- Enjoys a fast paced environment where contributions make an immediate difference
- SaaS/Multiple-element arrangement/percentage of completion revenue recognition experience, including VSOE analysis
- Ability to work with non-finance team members to communicate financial results and achieve desired financial outcomes.
- Advanced excel skills and/or experience working with ERP systems to produce meaningful reporting.
- Experience with Great Plains / Prophix / Tensoft / Salesforce an asset
- Attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness
- Strong business partnering and interpersonal skills
- Highly effective project management, prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills to meet deadlines.
