JLL is currently seeking an individual to join our Valuation Advisory (VA) team in Vancouver, at an Analyst level. This high performance and dynamic team is expanding on its professional services team, in coordination with overall growth plans within JLL Canada, and globally.
JLL Valuation Advisory aims to be the essential guide to the changing face of real estate values. Our 2,000 sector experts are connected across more than 50 countries, sharing insights and real-time data to deliver tailored client solutions. Globally, the platform appraises more than $3 trillion annually, across roughly 2 million valuations.
Our Canadian VA team is a best-in-class national valuation platform, with geographical coverage to tackle complex advisory and appraisal mandates across the country. At this time, the group focuses on valuation assignments of major, institutional grade retail, office, and industrial assets, with some localized specialization in multi-family, seniors housing, and hotel properties. In 2021, the team valued north of $55B in property value across Canada.
**Responsibilities include**:
Working with Argus Valuation Software often and proficiently
Working closely with senior team members to create, edit, and/or prepare market research, cash flow projections, and appraisal reports
Conducting research and collecting information materials on market fundamentals, ownership, tenants, and economic analysis
Assisting and/or participating in market presentations
Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities that may be assigned
**Requirements**:
Post-secondary education in Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, Urban Economics, Urban Planning, or Urban Geography is an asset
1-2 years full-time professional experience required in the commercial real estate sector is an asset
Demonstrated proficiency with all applicable software packages including but not limited to: MS Windows; MS Office, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; Adobe Professional, X, or Standard
**Real estate software, such as**: ARGUS Enterprise, is a definite asset
Knowledge of key themes impacting capital markets and investment real estate
Excellent verbal and written, and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Able to adapt and prioritize, meeting deadlines, in a fast-paced environment
Operate with a sense of urgency, quickly responding to Stakeholders
Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
Ability to work well independently with an ability to work collaboratively with others
Must be proactive and take initiative
Must be able to maintain confidentiality, utilize judgment, and work with mínimal supervision
This role is predominately office based with some travel possible. A clean and valid driver's license is required.
