The successful applicant will also possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and will have strong attention to detail and accuracy.

**Qualifications**:

- Graduate of recognized Community College Physiotherapy / Occupational Therapy diploma program or Rehab Assistant Diploma Program required

**Skill, Ability and Experience**:

- Basic proficiency in the use of computers required
- Previous experience in a Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy department preferred

**Principal Duties**:

- Assume an assigned caseload and instruct/supervise individual and group patient treatment programs under the supervision of a Physiotherapist and/or Occupational Therapist
- Communicate significant changes in patient condition to the Physiotherapist and/or Occupational Therapist
- Record patient care statistics as required
- Supervise patients in self-care and mobility techniques using appropriate mobility aids and assistive devices.
- Maintain ongoing tidiness and hygiene of the Therapy Services Department
- Rotate into any patient care area as required by the Physiotherapist and/or Occupational Therapist
- Participates in unit/department and Hospital Quality Improvement initiatives
- Completes continuing education requirements as necessary
- Other related duties as assigned
