**About the role**
Canadian Blood Services is looking for a **Temporary full-time Project Management Associate** to join our dynamic **Medical Affairs & Innovation - Stem Cells Team**.

The Canadian Blood Services **Stem Cells Team **is responsible for supporting patients requiring stem cell and cellular therapies by providing timely access to hematopoietic stem cell products. The Stem Cells team works to ensure that Canadian and International patients have reliable access to safe high-quality stem cells. The Stem Cells team operates several programs that support better outcomes for patients living with the many diseases and disorders that can be treated with stem cell transplants. We collect umbilical cord blood to manufacture stem cells through our cord blood bank. We operate a robust national registry of adult stem cell donors and participate in an international network of donor registries. And we provide human leukocyte antigen (HLA) typing services to ensure the best possible matches between stem cell donors and patients. Our goal is to help deliver the best possible patient treatment and care — safely, reliably and to the highest standards of quality.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing specific, smaller projects/initiatives and /or components of major, complex projects. As Project Manager Associate you will contribute to the gathering of information, reporting and analysis of related issues and provide project-related technical advice and support to senior management. You will work closely with functional business groups and project teams to achieve project objectives in accordance with established cost and time parameters.

**Formula for success**
- Leveraging your project management and your collaboration skills you will plan, coordinate, integrate and monitor progress and mitigate potential risks of small, defined projects and/or specific work streams within major complex projects; by identifying priorities and creating project plans with various cross functional teams that are consistent with Canadian Blood Services approach, templates, regulations, and governance.
- Utilizing your analytical skills and your keen attention to detail you will monitor project/initiative progress to ensure all projects/initiatives are aligned with timelines, expectations and are within established parameters; regularly presenting project status reports and assessing all proposed changes in project/initiative (i.e., scope, schedule, budget, and risk) prior to steering committee review and approval.
- Drawing on your interpersonal skills you will facilitate and promote effective stakeholder relationships to build credibility and collaboration within Canadian Blood Services departments that will allow buy-in, support and success of projects, communications, and training materials.
- Leveraging your creativity and analytical skills you will develop a process and reports to track project/initiatives statuses; promote standardized processes and identify areas of opportunity.

**Desired education and skills**
- Completion of post-secondary education from a recognized institution, preferably a university degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Certification in Project Management or Project Certification Training would be considered an asset.
- Minimum of three years related experience in various project management roles.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to contribute to a team environment, with proven experience successfully interacting and building credibility with senior management and stakeholders.
