Island EHS is a Victoria based occupational hygiene consulting company. We provide services to a variety of clients including:

- School Districts
- Universities
- Ship repair facilities
- Developers
- Abatement contractors

We have an immediate need for a senior occupational hygienist. Responsibilities include the following:

- Carry out sampling services for clients, including air quality and occupational hygiene and industrial work
- Confined space assessments
- Training
- Hazardous materials investigations
- Asbestos and lead air sampling
- Asbestos air sample analysis
- Maintaining appropriate records for all aspects of the business
- Ability to develop sampling strategies and complete work in a timely fashion

Experience in the following areas will be beneficial:

- Confined space assessments
- Indoor air quality assessments
- Air sample collection
- Asbestos air sample analysis by PCM
- Hazmat surveys
- Final visual inspections and hazmat clearance reports
- Excellent time management
- Good client relations
- Attention to detail
- Organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Technical writing skills
- A valid driver’s license and the use of your own vehicle

Compensation for this full-time position will depend on previous experience and qualifications. You must be legally qualified to work in Canada.
