**Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Director of Project Services and working in an exciting and collaborative environment, you will:
- Act as the point of contact for HSE related issues with our clients
- Conduct site visits to perform safety inspections, accompanying client representatives and Project Management Team as necessary.
- Ensure that company safety policies and procedures are implemented through:
- Site inspections o Review and sign off of completed Field Level Risk Assessment
- Review and sign off on completed Safety Observations
- Conducting Safety Observations on fellow employees
- Attending toolbox talks and safety meetings as required
- Conducting routine inspections of work areas
- Supporting with job specific hazard assessments
- Ensuring Project Team and Management participation
- File, log, maintain weekly safety documentation and hold teams accountable (ie: tool box talks, foremen inspections)
- Maintain, track, and hold teams’ accountable for stats related to OHS activities
- Coordinate training for employees
- Provide safety orientations for new hires
- Prepare OHS Manuals and necessary OHS material for job start up
- Prepare and finalize documentation pertaining to HSE Audits
- Prepare safety bulletins, Toolbox talks, relevant topics to be discussed/distributed to work sites
- Assist with workplace inspections and incident investigations as required
- Facilitate incident investigations in consultation with Project Line Management Team and Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee.
- Travel to job sites as required
**Who are we looking for?**
Education and Experience:
- Five to ten years of construction safety experience in an industrial, commercial, or institutional environment.
Diploma or Degree in Health and Safety Management from a recognized post-secondary institution or a combination of education and experience will suffice.
- NCSO designation preferred, but not essential.
About you:
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including the development and manipulation of Excel spreadsheets
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
**Job Details**:
- Six month term position
- 37.5 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
