**Mission / Position Summary**

Working within the product team and reporting to the CTO, the Functional and Product Analyst carries a broad range of responsibilities related to the evolution of the organization’s flagship product (Point of Sale or POS solution). The role encompasses the responsibilities of a functional analyst while also being accountable for various product elements, particularly functional stories and epics, as well as the consistency of the product’s features.

The Functional & Product Analyst keeps the roadmap up to date and directly or indirectly supports the activities of realization, development, implementation, and marketing.

As needed, they collaborate or lead commercial analysis and monitoring activities to select, compare, or evaluate the digital and functional capabilities of interest to Alice POS’s clientele. Through their mastery of numerous levers at their disposal, they ensure that Alice POS’s clientele is provided with a top-tier user experience.
- On a daily basis, the Functional & Product Analyst works closely with the development team to translate high-level requirements into analyses and specifications required for agile delivery. They are responsible for the continuous development and maintenance of product backlog items for current and upcoming sprints.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead the requirements definition, the development of the product backlog, and the scope of sprints, supported by their manager and the technical lead.
- Develop and/or support the realization of the product vision by actively leading or participating in the design and monitoring of roadmaps, project plans, product backlogs, task and story definition and prioritization, effort estimation, risk identification and tracking, progress monitoring, and the preparation of materials required for effective reporting.
- As needed, and with the support of their manager, contribute to understanding customer needs by managing various aspects of the customer journey with UX/CX, marketing, and customer success team partners.
- Lead minor and major product evolution activities to optimize performance, relying on Agile processes.
- Act as the reference in the team for detailed functional aspects, supporting developers and other team members.
- Anticipate needs, opportunities, and potential problems, and support the identification and design of solutions. Translate complex information elements clearly for stakeholders.
- Collect, write, and document functional and non-functional requirements with the right level of detail and precision, including expected behaviors, proposing appropriate solutions while respecting norms and standards.
- Design simple, functional, and practical user interfaces, in support of UX/UI experts and product managers.
- Support the planning and estimation of efforts for activities and deliverables, particularly by analyzing certain impacts and interacting with various stakeholders.
- Actively participate in the sprints by supporting developers and ensuring the proper implementation of requirements.
- Participate in activities related to testing/quality management: documentation and validation of test scenarios and solutions for integrated testing and other required tests.
- Support product version delivery in coordinating change activities (change management) involving multiple internal or external groups to the organization, which may include training, communication activities, coordination with various internal and external partners, preparation of integrated test plans, and deployment and post-implementation activities.

- Excellent analytical skills to effectively and qualitatively meet business and functional needs.
- Good understanding of technological concepts and interrelations, especially those related to the integration of complex and varied systems, to properly meet architectural requirements.
- Knowledge of Atlassian suite tools (JIRA / Confluence).
- Knowledge and experience with Agile and DevOps development frameworks (SCRUM, SAFe, or others).
- (asset) Knowledge of database concepts (structure, SQL, etc.).
- (asset) Knowledge of the business context of independent stores and/or franchise-type businesses.
- (asset) Broad and recent technological knowledge / generally very comfortable and self-taught with technological solutions.
- Team player, result-oriented including respect for deadlines.
- Bilingual (French, English).

**Experience & Education**
- 2 years of experience in similar roles (Agile / iterative development), related to digital products (web), preferably in a B2B context.
