Job Overview: MANUAL SHIFTING TRUCKS.
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Shunt Truck Driver to join our team. As a Shunt Driver, you will be responsible for transporting Trailers and containers to and from our Shop to our yard 5 mins away. This is a vital role in our organization as you will be ensuring the timely delivery of trailers to be dropped loaded and offloaded.

**Duties**:

- Safely operate heavy equipment, including trucks and a small dump trailer.
- Stage Trailers on the ramps and docks.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating vehicles and handling Trailers.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic automotive repairs as needed
- operate a small wood trailer that dumps pallets offsite.
- Maintain accurate trailer info to and from dispatchers.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.

**Skills**:

- Valid commercial CLASS 1 driver's license, with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in operating heavy equipment, such as trucks and backing in trailers
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate recordkeeping and safe handling of freight
- Strong communication skills to interact with dispatchers, customers, and team members

**Salary**: From $28.50 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- Monday to Friday
