**Rosemary and Thyme is now hiring for the 2024 season**

Do you love the outdoors, love working with great people and have a good understanding of proper horticulture, landscaping and maintenance techniques primarily in residential settings.

Our garden maintenance crew is a crucial part of our team. We are looking for people who know a weed from a perennial, and who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty to keep our customers' properties looking their best.

We start working for mid March wrapping up by mid December. Working days are from Monday to Friday. We are also looking for summer staff that can work May-Sept.

**Main Duties**
- Amending soil, weeding, fertilizing, perennial care, pruning and trimming (boxwoods and Yews hedges)
- Operate small equipment like backpack blowers, hedge trimmers, etc.
- Pest management
- Plant trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals
- Spring and Fall clean up
- Build gardens - site setup, digging and wheelbarrowing, planting, soil amending and mulching
- Learn and expand knowledge of landscape maintenance and garden installation
- Take direction and work alongside team leaders
- Follow on-site health and safety procedures

**Job Requirements**
- Physically capable of lifting 40 pounds or more, and repetitive tasks
- 1-2 years post secondary horticulture education or 1-2 years minimum work related experience an asset
- Must be able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- High attention to detail
- Knowledge of Plant material, experience in pruning and hedge trimming
- Team oriented and able to complete all tasks assigned
- Problem-solving skills necessary to solve team and/or client issues on site
- Hard working, self-motivated and a strong work ethic
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player
- **Must have a vehicle to get to sites**:

- **Must be triple vaccinated**

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 9 months

**Salary**: $20.00-$22.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 35 per week
