Laboratory Technician(Spores Technician)

Your tasks
- Directly responsible for ensuring that all health, safety and security procedures are observed and maintained at all times.
- Prepare and harvest spores
- Maintain appropriate supplies used in the laboratory.
- Maintain laboratory equipment consistent with FSSC and ISO standards and procedures.
- Document and maintain records related to laboratory activities, analysis, and inform Quality Assurance Manager of anomalies.
- Maintain sterile conditions in the laboratory facility and carry out regular analyses to evaluate the effectiveness of sanitation protocols.
- Partner with the fermentation team to resolve quality-related issues.
- Assist the Lab Technician as required.
- Housekeeping to meet and exceed FSSC and 5S expectations
- Participating in continuous improvement/kaizen initiatives
- Other duties as assigned.

**Your profile**
- Must have Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma (or equivalent)
- Post-secondary degree in a science field preferably with a microbiology focus.
- Minimum 2 years related experience in a similar industry.
- ISO and FSSC experience an asset
- Confident, collaborative personality
- Helpful and reliable work ethic to support a team-based environment

**Your future**

Reporting to the Quality Lab Coordinator, the job holder ensures the production of quality spores for the fermentation process while working in a safe manner. Ensuring the availability of quality spores for the fermentation process at all times and contributing to the establishment and maintenance of a safe workplace will contribute to the success of the company.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $27.11 per hour
