**The Opportunity**: The FSQA Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective execution of all FSQA programs (HACCP system and BRC requirements) to meet corporate and customer food safety strategy & quality standards as well as all regulatory requirements (CFIA, Health Canada, USDA, FDA, etc.).

**Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life**: As Manager - FSQA you will:

- Have the ability to foster a developing a constructive and positive work environment through excellent interpersonal, team building skills, open communications, encouraging input and constructive performance management
- Lead internal and external audits (BRC, customers, CFIA, etc.).
- Using fact-based analysis, provide recommendations to continuously improve the facility quality and food safety systems.
- Lead, coach and develop various FSQA team members.
- Recommend and implement process improvements within the department or facility.
- Accountable for hold and release activities related to pathogens test programs, non-conformance situations, etc.
- Ensure timely resolution of necessary corrective action items associated with all audits or CFIA concerns.
- Build and advance relationships with CFIA and other external organizations.
- Support or lead change management activities related to existing and new processes, programs and/or systems.
- Lead facility activities during any potential product recalls.
- Actively participate in facility leadership meetings.

**What You’ll Bring**:

- Solid understanding and experience with Modern Poultry Inspection System (MPIP)
- Solid understanding of Animal Welfare best practices
- University degree or college diploma preferably in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading a high performing team in a food manufacturing facility.
- Experience in a poultry slaughter manufacturing facility is an asset
- Ability to leverage exceptional interpersonal, communication to develop productive internal and external relationships.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders to achieve desired results.
- Energetic and positive leadership style.
- Excellent observation and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to coach for high performance.
- Strong systems skills (including MS Office and SAP).
- Ability to work effectively on a cross functional leadership team.
- Experience thriving in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment.
