**Position Title**: Corporate Actuarial Analyst

**Reports To**: Director, Corporate Actuarial

**Department**: Corporate Actuarial

**Term**: Permanent Full Time

**Work Arrangements**: We are currently working remotely, and we will be moving to a hybrid model when our office renovation is complete (approximately September 2023), coming into the office a minimum of 2 days per week, every other week on designated days.

**The Opportunity**:
We're searching for an Actuarial Analyst or Associate to join our Corporate Actuarial team as we expand and build out this team. Reporting to the Director, Corporate Actuarial, this position will have the opportunity to learn about the products in all lines of business and will play key role in supporting the responsibilities of the Appointed Actuary.

**What you will be doing**:

- Support development, modeling, and testing assumption changes that better predict future experience
- Assist in oversight of pricing initiatives working with Individual, Savings & Retirement, and Group pricing areas
- Perform oversight of valuation and capital assumptions, methodology and modeling working with valuation teams
- Review, validate and consolidate information at the company level that is reported in the annual report, the Appointed Actuary’s report, and other regulatory filings
- Assist in the development, analysis, and consolidation of the Financial Condition Testing report
- Participate in the development of other financial models to support strategic and corporate actuarial initiatives

**What you will bring**:

- A minimum of 3 SOA Exams preferred, and a commitment to complete the FCIA/FSA designation
- Proficiency in the use of Excel and VBA
- Familiarity with actuarial software Moody’s AXIS
- Experience working at a direct insurance company and knowledge of insurance products
- Demonstrated experience multi-tasking within a competing priority environment
- Knowledge of IFRS 17 and individual insurance products is beneficial
- Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment and meet deadlines
- Strong focus on customer service with excellent communication skills both verbal and written
