**Position Title: Payroll Manager (Temporary)**

**Position Details**
- Temporary Position - 2 month term, or until the incumbent returns
- Full-Time - 75 hours bi-weekly
- Monday to Friday, in-person
- Day Shifts: 8:30 am until 4:30pm (flexible)
- Hourly wage between $25.65 - $28.87

**About Us**

Initiatives for Just Communities (IJC) is a non-profit, charitable organization that operates four community justice programs: El'dad Ranch, Touchstone, Open Circle, and CoSA. These programs support people with intellectual disabilities, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), and those who are currently, or have been previously, incarcerated. IJC is committed to restorative justice practices, which honour the community and foster a sense of belonging.

**The Position**

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Payroll Manager will manage and oversee the bi-weekly payroll process, as well as support the finance team in other areas as needed.

**What you will do**
- Manage and oversee the bi-weekly payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payroll transactions.
- Handle urgent data entry and other tasks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all payroll regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to address payroll-related issues.
- Provide support during audits and other financial reviews.

**Qualifications**

**Required**
- Education relevant to the position.
- Certification from the National Payroll Institute (PCP) preferred.
- Proven experience in payroll management.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

**Assets**
- 5 years of previous experience preferred.
- Familiarity with payroll software and systems (Payworks and Quickbooks).

**Conditions of Employment**
- The successful applicant must maintain legal eligibility to work in Canada. If the successful applicant possesses a work permit, it is their responsibility to ensure the permit remains valid.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector check.
