We study lung immunology in the context of lung transplantation. Our goals are to 1) understand the mechanisms of chronic lung allograft rejection and 2) promote lung allograft acceptance by harnessing regulatory immunological control mechanisms.

We are looking to employ a **Research Technician I or II** to join our highly productive research laboratory. The individual will be required to assist senior fellows and/or students on various experiments. The primary focus will be to help with rodent studies, including tissue processing, sample analysis, and rodent colony management and genotyping. In addition, the individual will be responsible for conducting various in vitro experiments. Technical skills required include cell isolation and expansion and antibody staining. Experience with multi-colour flow cytometry is absolutely essential.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of B.Sc. in biological sciences.
- Minimum six (6) months of technical experience.
- Must have experience in: flow cytometry, mammalian cell/tissue culture, cellular immunology, rodent handling.
- Other favourable skills: multiplexed cytokine analysis, quantitative PCR, magnetic cell separation, ELISA, animal surgery.
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
