Loopio is looking for a Corporate Controller to join our team. We are searching for a driven and meticulous master of numbers to oversee the financial activities of our global operations. You will be responsible for maintaining financial integrity, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and driving continuous improvement in our financial and operational processes. You have a strategic mindset, strong leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of SaaS business. As part of this role, you will collaborate with various teams across the organization and make a lasting impact on setting the foundation of how Loopio Finance organization continues to optimize and scale. As the Corporate Controller at Loopio, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing various financial functions within our global operations. We are looking for an individual with a strong background in IFRS, multi-currency environments, business combination experience, and a proven track record of successful financial leadership.

**What You'll Be Doing**:

- ** Financial Reporting**:

- Oversee and own the global accounting and financial reporting function in multi-currency, multi-entity environment
- Lead the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with IFRS and external reporting requirements for our global operations
- Optimize our ERP and reporting capabilities that provide insights into our financial performance
- Collaborate closely with Strategic Finance to enhance internal reporting to drive better data-driven decisions

Internal Controls and Compliance**:

- Work closely with external auditors and manage the completion of the annual audit and local statutory audits
- Continually strive to improve internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory compliance
- **
Finance Operations and Cash Management**:

- Manage financial operations for international subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with local regulations and accounting standards
- Oversee the completion of financial consolidated audits for the Group, maintaining accuracy and transparency.
- Utilize your expertise in business combination transactions to navigate mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic financial initiatives.
- Oversee stock option programs and related accounting, ensuring accurate recording and reporting.
- Oversee global payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate payroll payments.
- Manage and optimize the company's cash flow, including monitoring working capital and liquidity.

Tax Planning and Compliance**:

- Oversee tax compliance and coordinate with external tax advisors
- Implement tax planning strategies on IP
- Implement and oversee transfer pricing

- Develop and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members

**What You Bring to the Team**:

- University or College Degree (or equivalent) in Business, preferably in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred
- Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar financial leadership role within the SaaS industry
- Strong understanding of SaaS business models, revenue recognition, and subscription-based accounting
- Experience with international financial operations and knowledge of IFRS accounting standards
- Excellent communication skills as you will be a partner to the business leaders
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset
- Ability to stay organized and meticulous to deliver in a fast-paced environment

- Loopio is a remote-first workplace because we recognize the advantages of working flexibly.
- Loopio’s office headquarters are located in Toronto’s vibrant Kensington Market. All Loopers have the option to work from home. Ontario Loopers have the option to work in the Toronto HQ.
