**THE MANDATE**:

- Set up and maintenance of computer controlled equipment, such as Processing tanks, Pumps, Fillers, Homogenizers, Liquefiers, Admix, Emulsifier etc.;
- Application of electronic system knowledge to food processing equipment to maximize system utilization.
- Act as a first level escalation support for the maintenance team to locally or remotely, troubleshoot and repair all hardware or controls software systems within the facility
- Communicates effectively, verbally and in writing, with maintenance and engineering teams regarding functionality of machinery and equipment, proposed solutions and related impacts
- Responds to emergency work requests with a work order to resolute problem(s) to ensure that the activities/tasks are completed in a correct & timely manner
- Performing a variety of machine operations, such as start-up, testing, shutdown and troubleshooting.
- Detecting and troubleshooting irregularities and malfunctions with machinery and equipment.
- Repairing and replacing defective machine parts.
- Performing routine machine preventive maintenance.
- Ensuring that all prescribed work methods and safety practices are followed.
- Performing all other tasks that may be reasonably assigned.

**THE CANDIDATE**:

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as an Industrial Process/Maintenance technician/technologist in a Production, Packaging and/or Processing setting. Food Industry experience is necessary.
- Experience working with process pumps, process valves, plant steam and CIP systems is required
- College Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Electromechanical streams preferred
- Allen Bradley PLC and Drives knowledge and experience shall be ideal.
- Excellent communication, problem solving and decision making skills.
- Excellent job task planning and organization skills.
- Interest in continuous learning.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
- Experience with usage of CMMS systems for work order management
