Brejnik Fine Homes makes dream homes a reality, focusing on fresh, contemporary designs built with care, consideration, and quality. We are in a progressive growth stage, needing to bring on a confident and experienced project manager with general carpentry and handyman skills for our full service architectural design and build firm. This position requires a great deal of responsibility and opportunities for learning and growth in a dynamic environment - you will be the primary point of contact with all trades professionals, liaising with our design team, and managing the ground up construction and renovation projects for our clients’ custom homes (which includes doing some general handyman / construction work on these projects). We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented, critical thinker with great communication skills to grow with us.

Experience in a variety of general construction work such as framing, paint touch ups, and patching walls.

Budget management: monitoring expenses, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring jobs are completed within budget.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
This role enables you to make your mark and have an impact on our clients and the company as a whole. Be the driving force overseeing and coordinating all aspects of construction projects from permit to completion - including developing timelines, managing projects, and jumping in where needed to build homes on time and on budget. You manage, execute, and complete several large projects per year.

**REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION**:
Project Planning and Schedule Management: Create and manage project schedules, identifying critical milestones and dependencies. Monitor progress regularly and implement corrective measures to ensure timely completion of project phases and overall project.

Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources effectively and efficiently, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.

Budgeting and Cost Control: Monitor expenses throughout the project lifecycle. Implement cost control measures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and manage change orders and variations to keep the project within budget. Approve expenses and invoices for payment.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Conduct regular risk assessments, implement safety measures, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Communication and Stakeholder Management: Facilitate effective communication among project team members, clients, and other relevant parties. Provide regular updates on project progress, address concerns, and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.

Quality Assurance: Establish quality control procedures and ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the project. Conduct inspections, oversee testing, and address any issues related to construction quality.

Contract Management: Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors. Ensure contract compliance and resolve any contractual disputes or issues that may arise.

Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the project team, providing guidance and direction to ensure successful project execution. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- 5+ years of Project Management experience, preferably on residential projects
- Solid understanding of construction processes, regulations, building codes, and industry standards
- Able to read and understand architectural drawings and plans
- Experience managing budgets and approving invoices
- General carpentry / handyman experience are a bonus
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to be assertive while maintaining composure and humility

**REQUIREMENTS**:
Team player, trustworthiness, and dependable

Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation (a truck would be a plus)

Able to stand for long periods and able to lift up to 100 lbs periodically

Proficient with Google Suite and Microsoft Excel
