- The duties and responsibilities of a Vocational Instructor include instructional and professional duties, professional development and service, and continuing excellence in one’s field.**Functions and Duties**
- Instructional duties may include any or all of the following: instructional (teaching assignments); course and program preparation and revision; student contact; student advising; evaluation and marking of student work and other functions related to instruction.
- Professional duties may include any or all of the following: curriculum development, student registration and pre registration duties.- Service may include any or all of the following: school visitations; participation on OC committees; attendance at articulation meetings; representing OC at other function; administrative and other duties.**Education and Experience**
- 2. A valid BC Teacher’s Certificate appropriate to the instructional assignment, equivalent or a Provincial Instructor Diploma is preferred, and will be required following appointment in accordance with the Collective Agreement.Three years’ related teaching experience, preferably in an adult setting.**Skills and Abilities**Preferred Qualifications**
- The Adult Upgrading Department is seeking a non-regular full-time Vocational Instructor to teach Fall 2023 and Winter 2024 terms at the Penticton campus:
**Fall Term** (Sept 5, 2023-Dec 23, 2023):

- Introductory Algebra
- Self-paced Intermediate to Provincial Math
- Advanced Level Biology (011)**Winter Term **(Jan 8, 2024-April 29, 2024):

- Advanced Chemistry (011)
