**Your Opportunity**
- The duties and responsibilities of a Vocational Instructor include continuing excellence in one’s field, instructional and professional duties, professional development and service.**Functions and Duties**
- Instructional duties may include any or all of the following: instructional (teaching assignments); course and program preparation and revision; student contact; student advising; evaluation and marking of student work and other functions related to instruction.
- Professional duties may include any or all of the following: curriculum development, student registration and pre registration duties.- Service may include any or all of the following: school visitations; participation on OC committees; attendance at articulation meetings; representing OC at other function; administrative and other duties.**Education and Experience**
- 1. Successful completion of a related apprenticeship program and a Certificate of Apprenticeship with an Interprovincial endorsement.
- 2. An undergraduate degree and post secondary teaching experience are preferred; however, applicants with an equivalent combination of teaching and work experience may be considered.
- 3. An Instructor’s Diploma or valid BC Teacher’s Certificate appropriate to the instructional assignment is preferred, and will be required following appointment in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
- 4. Six to ten years recent relevant experience.**Skills and Abilities**Preferred Qualifications**
- The Sustainable Building Technology program is seeking a part-time non-regular vocational instructor to teach for the upcoming Fall 2023 and Winter 2024 academic year. The instructional assignment is expected to include:

- FALL Courses
- SBT 115 - Construction Methods I
- WINTER Courses
- SBT 125 - Construction Methods II- Teaching experience with a variety of modes of delivery is considered an asset (e.g. face-to-face, blended learning, online learning).**Desired Start Date**

- Fall 2023, Sep 11 - Dec 4- SCMT 115: Mondays, 9:00-12:00 and 12:30-3:30

Winter 2024, Jan 8 - Apr 8 (no classes Feb 24 during reading break )- SCMT 125: Mondays, 9:30-12:20 and 12:30-3:30

**Annual Salary/Hourly Rate**
- Salary range $62,828 to $100,958 annually; normal starting salary between $69,017 and $75,206 annually, dependent on relevant education and experience.**Appointment Type**
