**Responsibilities**:
As the Community Manager for Hines, you will be responsible for building a strong sense of community for tenants through face-to-face and online interaction. You will develop, implement, and oversee tenant programming, services, and events and curate content for all online channels. You will be responsible for managing and activating tenant amenity spaces and ensuring the tenant experience meets a standard of excellence. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop, produce, and deliver programming content that captures the imagination and builds an annual calendar of daily, weekly, monthly and one-off events, programs and experiences, in partnership with tenants, community organizations and stakeholders that enliven the Eighth Avenue Place site - including both towers, the courtyard and indoor urban park - and engage a broad and diverse set of visitors.- Ensure that programs and events respond to and reflect tenant needs, are inclusive of Calgary’s diverse populations and acknowledge the site’s unique presence and significance.- Responsible for driving event strategies, messaging, activation plans and execution.- Own project management of event programs end-to-end including the development of strategy briefs, schedules, production, budget and reporting.- Leverage existing network of local, national and global relationships in arts and culture, food and beverage, event operations and execution; research and build new relationship partners on an ongoing basis, including negotiating contracts.- Develop a comprehensive commercial and sponsorship model for different types of events.- Identify event and community opportunities, to be confirmed with the project team, in order to create buzz and reach key audiences: tenant engagement activities, retailer promotions and campaigns, special occasions, launches, community activations, etc.- Develop and maintain a food and beverage marketing plan that meets the goals and objectives of the property, including the creation of F&B materials, initiatives, installations and events in collaboration with the Property Management team.- Develop an infrastructure plan and identify key partners in support of events (ex. logistics, rentals, catering, permits, etc.).- Cultivate a personalized, hospitality forward environment for tenants, as well as by addressing and resolving incoming work orders, requests, questions, and complaints from a variety of channels in a timely manner.- Oversee the daily operations, scheduling, and programming of tenant amenity spaces, collaborating with Hines Operations and the building service providers including Housekeeping, Security and Fitness Centre Management ensuring that amenities are safe, accessible, and well-maintained with an emphasis on continuous improvement and tenant engagement.- Work with vendors and service providers to implement programs, partnerships and placemaking initiatives such as urban beehives, seasonal décor, platinum partnerships and pop-up events and giveaways that add value and enrich the tenant experience.- Maximize the impact of property resources allocated for events, projects, and initiatives by controlling expenditures within the operational budget and establishing schedules and timelines.-
- Create and distribute messaging through a variety of digital and traditional communication mediums including wayfinding and safety signage, event signage, tenant notifications on policy changes or operational disruptions, and emergency alerts.- Maintain comprehensive documentation of policies and procedures, emergency procedures, and tenant forms, waivers and contact information and regularly audit data stored within communications systems including the property’s work order system and emergency alerting system to ensure recordkeeping is thorough and accurate.- Spearhead and execute marketing strategy that tells the Eighth Avenue Place brand story, maximizing tenant and community engagement, tenant retention & acquisition.- Uphold the Hines & Ownership brands and create key messaging components for insertion in all events, presentations and branded materials; collaborate in the creation and writing of all content for activities and presentations.- Responsible for all property-related communications; produce and execute all internal (tenants and retailers) and external (general public) communications including monthly tenant newsletter and tenant communication/reports for building occupants and C-Suite audience, as well as external targeted audiences.- Create all marketing and communications planning and strategy documents: annual plan and campaign specific (including related budgets).
