**COMMUNITY RESOURCE WORKER 1 for LEDUC RES. 1**

**(Part-Time, Temporary role until January 5, 2026 with the possibility of extension)**

**About the position**:
McMan’s DisABILITY Services Program is seeking to recruit a dedicated CRW 1 to support three (3) individuals with physical and developmental disabilities and some complex behaviours to enrich their quality of life in their homes and communities.

**Hours: Saturday from 9:00am-9:00pm and Sunday from 8:00am-8:00pm (alternate weekends); 24 awake hours every second weekend.**

**Location: Leduc, Alberta**

**What you’ll do**:

- Connect with and develop helping relationships with individuals with disabilities.
- Acting as a strong advocate for individuals in the community.
- Work effectively as a team with the individual and their support team to help achieve their goals.
- Completion of daily documentation.
- Support and participate in recreation and leisure activities. Able and willing to go swimming.
- Perform administrative and cleaning duties relating to the operation of the home.
- Participate in on-going program development.

**What you bring**:

- Completion of a High School Diploma.
- Six (6) months experience working within the Human Services field (relevant equivalencies will be considered).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Security Clearance Check; including the Vulnerable Persons Sector Check (from within the last 6 months).
- Current Emergency First Aid-Level A CPR + AED.
- Valid Class 5 drivers license, current drivers abstract, reliable vehicle and auto insurance are required; as well as driving an agency vehicle.
- Proficiency in basic computer and word processing tasks
- Compassion and the ability to assist with personal care.
- Ability to assist with lifts & transfers
- Knowledge of seizures is an asset
- Ability to implement approved restrictive practices.
- Desire to see individuals succeed.
