With exciting challenges and opportunities ahead, BuildDirect is looking for a Global Logistics Coordinator who will pride themselves on a timely, cost-conscious, customer-centric performance. Your eagerness to supply exceptional customer service to your internal and external customers will be paramount to your success. This role is covering a leave and is expected to last 12-14 months. This is an opportunity to put your entrepreneurial spirit to work at BuildDirect, the only eCommerce provider disrupting the building materials industry by bridging the gap between manufacturer and end-user.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating the import and delivery of inventory to customers across North America. As Global Logistics Coordinator, you will look for new and innovative ways to continue disrupting supply chain methodology to deliver exceptional service.

**Some of the great things you’ll do**:

- Efficiently coordinate all aspects of Import & Export operations
- Create freight quotes and approve invoices
- Coordinate shipping documentation and customs clearance
- Support and maintain C-TPAT and PIP compliance
- Coordinate domestic inventory transfers and appointments with warehouses
- Assist in contract negotiations with ocean carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers
- Assist in the management of harmonized tariff codes
**What you’ll bring to the table**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in the transportation or logistics industry. Steamship line experience and container exams an asset
- Expert in US and Canadian Customs regulations & procedures, including tariff codes & duty rates
- Working knowledge of steamship and/or forwarder contracts
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- High levels of integrity and a commitment to do what you say you are going to do
- A desire to learn and continuously improve

BuildDirect has been in business for 22 years. Recently we’ve shared a lot of exciting news, from going public (TSXV:BILD) to merging with two brands in the US - Floorsource and Superb Flooring.
