**BARTENDER**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Prepare drinks for guests and servers, according to hotel procedures.
- Ensure that proper materials and supplies are on hand.
- Ensure that drinks are served according to hotel procedures in accordance to Provincial regulations. Minors will never be served alcohol.
- Act as a cashier for servers when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper operation of the bar and its equipment.
- Provide an accurate inventory of opening and closing inventory.
- Maintain and balance a cash float.
- Assist servers when necessary with either bussing tables or serving guest.
- Other duties as assigned by the Outlets Manager.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Excellent guest service skills are required.
- Must have Serving it Right and FoodSafe Level 1 certification.
- 1 year bartending/serving experience.
- Outgoing & friendly personality. Able to carry on conversations with guests.
- Having attended a bartending school and received a bartending certificate is an asset.
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English, a second language is an asset.
- Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Constant walking and standing is required, you must be able to exert a well-paced mobility to get to other departments in the hotel on a timely basis.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally
- Must have knowledge of and be able to operate all equipment related to the outlet, including, but not limited to, coffee maker, cash terminal, dishwasher, and computer system.
- Working knowledge of Squirrel F&B system an asset
- Must have strong knowledge of drink preparation and applicable health standards.
