Highlights of the job

We are hiring a Full-Time Temporary (for up to 12 months) CGR Coordinator position working in Edmonton, AB

The CGR Coordinator is accountable for the performance of the Capital Governance and Reporting (CGR) group by working with EPCOR Water Services (EWS) Project and Program Managers, Capital Finance and Capital Steering Committee. This includes providing document training and support to Project Managers throughout the project management lifecycle, delivery of appropriate project reporting (monthly, quarterly, budget and year-end), providing expert training in Oracle Projects, scheduling and participating in the capital steering committee and project/program level meetings.

What you’d be responsible for
- Providing input to the EWS CGR plans and directions.
- Maintaining EWS capital projects information systems (Oracle Projects, CAPEX Dashboard, Project SharePoint sites, Work Management Systems, Power BI); recording approvals, monitoring, forecasting and budgeting of all project expenditures.
- Coordinating and supporting the Project Managers to develop financial approvals, Financial Review Council (FRC) and Board approvals documentation.
- Analyzing project information provided by Project Managers as part of forecasting and reporting processes to identify errors and omissions and trends for investigation.
- Coordinating and maintaining CGR reporting requirements on monthly, quarterly and annual basis including developing standard reporting requirements, reviewing the report to ensure all material is readable and error free.
- Providing overall CGR support by developing and maintaining processes, standards, templates and procedures for the project management function.
- Providing support and developing material to deliver Project Manager training in the functionality of Oracle Projects to facilitate accuracy in project financial reporting and project approvals and stage gate approvals in SharePoint.
- Assisting the Manager, CGR in the delivery of the annual capital budget, long-term plans and regulatory filings including development of associated template and reports, providing training and holding meetings.
- Developing and maintaining collaborative and supportive relationships with all EWS departments and groups.
- Understands the financial requirements for all projects and coordinates with the Capital Finance team as a liaison for any new reporting or template requirements and analyzes project financial data and responds to project manager inquiries.
- Demonstrate a high performance, high discipline, safe, accountable, focused, innovative and achievement-oriented, easy to do business with manner of working.

What’s required to be successful

Qualifications, experience and behaviours you will possess are:

- Completed (2yr) diploma or degree in operational management, accounting or a related project management field from a recognized post-secondary institute.
- Minimum 4 years of related experience in the area of projects and project management.
- Understanding and experience of Project Management processes and knowledge areas and stage gate processes.
- Strong familiarity with Oracle Applications including Oracle Projects or similar ERP systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint and Workflows.
- Experience in providing and/or facilitating training, considered an asset.
- Demonstrated proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Project) and Power BI.
- Understanding of the Capital Investment Policy, considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Adaptive Insight or similar budgeting tools.

- Final Wage and Step will be determined at the time of selection and is based on a combination of factors as outlined in the Collective Agreement that may be found online.
