**What you will do**
**How you will do it**
- Receive, update, and complete assigned preventative and demand maintenance works orders within the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) QFM.
- Respond to and rectify assigned tasks in general facility services, equipment repair, HVAC (Heating Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry.
- Source, plan and organize required tools and materials for day-to-day tasks and projects
- Use building prints, schematics, and other available documents while troubleshooting system failures and work requests.
- Solid understanding of building systems with an ability to operate a variety of hand tools and machines.
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and aligns with all company policies.
**What we look for**
**_ Required_**
- Building systems knowledge including troubleshooting, repair and replacement, etc.
- Requires in-depth knowledge of various maintenance fundamentals sufficient to look after service and repairs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently on tasks and as part of a team.
- Working and operating knowledge of computers as well as Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, word, excel)
- Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to: climb ladders, operate machinery, lift heavy objects weighing up to 75 lbs, etc.
- Work 7-3:30 daily. May have to start earlier and/or work later on other days based on the work that needs to be completed. Will also be scheduled to be on-call after the training period has ended.
- Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
**_ Preferred_**
- Experience working in a school or similar setting would be an asset
- Experience with painting and interior finish work
- Experience with wheeled equipment repair and maintenance
- Plumbing experience/license
- Electrical experience/license
