Thanks to Canada Summer Jobs, the John Howard Society is seeking a Fund Development Admin Assistant for an 8-week contract to help us create and establish our Fund Development processes and program. Are you under the age of 30 and looking for meaningful and quality work experience and having a direct impact on an organization and the Community in which it serves?

**The Fund Development Admin Assistant** will help us build and oversee sustainable fundraising donation, grant and fundraising business models capable of delivering revenues to meet the growing operational funding requirements for John Howard Society SENB by ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of all fund development efforts assigned by the Executive Director and the Fund Development Manager.

The Fundraising Development Admin will be a natural "connector" and consistent communicator who can develop relationships and engage with all community fund development stakeholders.

The Fund Development Admin Assistant will assist in developing and driving fundraising efforts, use best practices and support the organization's annual fund development plan, Grant Development and Donor (Gift Kind Relationships.) They will demonstrate a solid commitment to partner relationships by proactively communicating and taking of opportunities. They will facilitate effective positive fund development outcomes on time. They must display sound judgment to plan and accomplish JHS SENB's strategic fundraising goals.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE POSITION**:

- Provision and delivery of leadership, strategic and long-term planning and initiating policy recommendations for the Fundraising program.
- Support all fundraising activity and related financial management and the implementation of Board policy decisions related t fundraising.
- Active promotion of community awareness of the JHS Fundraising goals and objectives, broadening understanding and support for JHS and its activities.
- Development, coordination and implementation of plans, programs, and strategies to substantially increase the gits and funds to the Organization.
- Letter of enquiry, Ask and grant processes and criteria

**CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS**
- Familiarity with the mission of the John Howard Society and the Community is an asset.
- Drivers License required
- Can demonstrate growth and relationship building in a competitive environment.
- Has demonstrated good relations with key influencers such as Community and business leaders.
- Able to use Microsoft products and use a CRM
- Demonstrated visible work style based on trust, integrity, and collaboration.
