BOOKKEEPER/OFFICE MANAGER

Experienced individual with sound accounting knowledge and excellent organizational skills.
Responsibility with this position is to carry out all duties for office administration related to maintaining operations of a small general contracting firm.
Description of Responsibilities
- HR Related Work - Payroll (Direct Deposit), WSIB & EHT Remittance, Completing
Employment Documentation, Safety Records and Documentation.
- Accounting Work - Accounts Payable and Receivable, Cheque Preparation for Signature,
Online Payments, Government Remittance, Preparing Invoices, Bank Deposits.
- Data Entry - Enter Costing Information (Labour and Materials) for various projects and ensuring information is properly coded and allocated.
- Filing information for particular projects and ensuring all documents are labelled, filed and archived correctly.
- Preparation of documents for proposals and client deliverables.
- Tracking maintenance of tools, trucks and office equipment to ensure proper documentation.
- Prepare month end finances.
- Prepare year end finances ready for Accountants.
- Answer phones and greet guests for reception.
- Experience and proficiency in Simply Accounting (Sage 50) and Microsoft Word and Excel.
Must be able to multi-task and have an eye for detail and be able to work independently with mínimal direction.
Must be able to organize and prioritize day to day tasks to maintain smooth operations with respect to administration.
Must be discreet and clearly understand privacy.

Salary based on experience and ability to meet criteria of job requirements.

This is a full time position with office located in Prescott, Ontario
