Optometric Assistant/receptionist

In addition to general eye care, we also provide vision therapy for children and adults.
**Duties**:
- Assist optometrist with patient care, including pre-testing and documentation
- Help patients select eyewear and provide fitting assistance
- Process orders for contact lenses and eyeglasses
- Maintain inventory of optical supplies and ensure cleanliness of optical area
- Schedule appointments and handle front desk duties
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) system to update patient information
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical office or retail sales environment preferred but not necessary.
- Knowledge of optical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, such as ODOfficePro, is desirable but not a requirement.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work well with patients of all ages, including pediatrics, geriatrics and those with challenges
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using computers and basic office software

Work hours are negotiable, but availability is required for the following hours: M & W 8:45 - 5:30, Tues 8:45 -7:15 Thurs 12:15- 7:15 and F 8:45-3:30. No weekends. Wage is commensurate with experience.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
**Salary**: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
