Job Description: Lithium-ion Battery Recycling Chemistry Researcher

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lithium-ion Battery Recycling Chemistry Researcher to join our dynamic team. As a researcher in this field, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative recycling technologies and processes for lithium-ion batteries. Your expertise in chemistry, materials science, and battery technology will be essential in advancing sustainable and efficient methods for recycling lithium-ion batteries.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Conduct research and development activities focused on advancing lithium-ion battery recycling chemistry.

2. Design and perform experiments to analyze the chemical composition and properties of lithium-ion batteries for recycling purposes.

3. Investigate and optimize chemical processes for the separation and recovery of valuable materials from lithium-ion batteries.

4. Develop and implement new recycling methodologies, including novel chemical treatments and extraction techniques.

5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate chemistry research findings into scalable recycling processes.

7. Analyze and interpret experimental data using statistical methods and present research findings in reports, technical papers, and presentations.

8. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.

9. Collaborate with external partners, such as academic institutions and industry experts, to foster collaborative research efforts.

Qualifications:
1. A degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. interest and/or experience in battery technology and recycling a bonus.

2. Proven experience in lithium-ion battery chemistry, including an understanding of battery components, electrolytes, and electrode materials.

3. Strong background in chemical separation techniques, such as solvent extraction, precipitation, and leaching.

4. Proficiency in designing and conducting experiments, as well as analyzing and interpreting complex data sets.

5. Familiarity with analytical techniques used in battery research, such as spectroscopy, microscopy, and electrochemical analysis.

6. Knowledge of battery recycling regulations, environmental sustainability, and circular economy principles is advantageous.

7. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically and creatively.

8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively present research findings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
