**Position Overview**

CHALLENGES AWAITING YOU

As a Human Resources Officer, you will focus primarily in the collection, analysis and reporting of people-related metrics, using the various human resources management systems.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be required to:

- Work with the HRIS to enter, analyze and interpret data; prepare and customize reports, prepare presentations for leadership review;
- Ensure that all government and legislative reporting and compliance requirements are met
- Help to identify and build automated solutions to improve transactional efficiency of all our HR service functions
- Maintain systems and employee files; track training and other expenditures
- Support the induction and integration of new employees
- Support the internal transfer staffing process
- Provide technical support to the Human Resources team in relation to recruitment activities, employee and labor relations, compensation administration, and benefits and wellness administration
- Support the development of an automated employee service portal to ensure a high level of accuracy and responsiveness to employee enquiries
- Actively contribute to new People and Culture initiatives and projects to support a culture of excellence within the Human Resources function.

**Criminal Check**

As a pre-condition of employment:

- All new HGH employees will be required to obtain and provide a satisfactory Police Records Check dated within six (6) months from the date of issue.
- As of now, HGH will require all employees, physicians, learners, contractors and volunteers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

**What we are looking for**
- University degree in Human Resources Management and professional HR designation
- At least 2 years' experience in a similar position as a HRIS Specialist. Knowledge of the hospital environment would be an asset
- Experience in administering and supporting group benefits plans and rewards and recognition programs
- Experience with staffing and scheduling processes, including solid understanding of workforce planning cycles
- Good knowledge of group insurance and retirement administration
- Ability to communicate effectively in both French and English
- Familiarity with a unionized work environment
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office environment
