As the role is focused first on buildings and infrastructure, you will have experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team on large built-environment projects. You will have specific experience in the areas of sustainability, climate action and resiliency including low energy/carbon design for buildings, renewable energy and microgrids, energy efficiency subsidies and other green financing mechanisms, low water-use design including a basic understanding of rainwater re-use and green infrastructure techniques, design for health and wellness, material impact, waste management and the connection between sustainability and resiliency.

**As a Sustainability Consultant, you will meet the following requirements**:

- Hold a bachelor’s degree and professional accreditations in Engineering, Environmental Science, Architecture, or a closely related field.
- Professional experience within the field of sustainability is mandatory
- Have at least 4 years of relevant work experience with a proven track record of being a high performer in roles that are largely technical in nature
- Be a LEED Accredited Professional with specialty designation (i.e., BD+C) or working towards the achievement of a specialty designation.
- Demonstrated experience assessing projects in the built environment using at least one of the following frameworks: LEED, WELL, Passive House, Living Building Challenge, FitWel, CaGBC Zero Carbon Building Standard, Toronto Green Standard, Envision.
- Be a creative, motivated, technically-minded self-starter that can work both independently and collaboratively on teams
- Enjoy supporting a variety of sustainability, climate change and resilience-related projects, advising clients on high performance building design and technologies as they relate to energy, carbon, water, materials and circular economy principles.
- Ability to work on multiple projects of varying type and scale, in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills essential for working with design teams and non-technical clients
- Experience working in a high performing team environment, advising and guiding more junior team members.
- Experience working on commercial, institutional or other non-residential project types.
- Experience developing and communicating sustainable building concepts for internal and external clients through illustrations, reports and presentations
- Proficiency promoting and ensuring project work and deliverables are of the highest quality
- Experience developing and improving project processes and tools

**Preferred**
- Thorough understanding of energy modelling and analysis for new and existing buildings
- Experience in supporting of proposal writing
- Interested in participating in related industry groups.
