Teacher assistant / Summer camp counselor

Pris-T-giS Montessori School is looking for a Teacher Assistant who is caring and has a passion for working with children.

Successful applicants will gain valuable experience in children's education. We offer a great learning experience and references to employees.

**HOURS**

June 27 - Aug 26: Summer Camp 9:00 - 5:30/6:00 PM

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assist the needs of the teacher: prepare materials, cleaning, keeping students' attention, and follow teacher's instructions.
- Keep track of class time, help maintain studio cleanliness
- Assist and supervise children during classes
- Responsible for the well-being and safety of young children

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
- Legally entitled to work in Canada (Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident/Landed Immigrant)
- Completion of high school or a ECA/ECE students
- Proactive, punctual, and accountable
- Kind, patient, and fun attitude with children
- Must have some child care background
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- First Aid + CPR C AED
- Police VVS check
- Vaccination record

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff are required to be fully vaccinated, proof of vaccination is required and we are asking both students and staff to wear masks during class.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 10 weeks

**Salary**: $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Work Location: One location
