We are looking for a Risk Assessment Expert to join our team as a **National Practice Leader, Risk Assessment**. The Practice Leader is at the forefront of practice trends and regulatory changes related to Contaminated Sites Phase 1, 2 and 3 site investigations, as well as human and ecological risk assessments. The Practice Leader drives innovation and technical quality through the National practice.

As an expert in all aspects of risk assessment, this person brings scientific/technical mastery, sophisticated regulatory understanding, leadership skills, business acumen, and an entrepreneurial spirit along with a keen interest in growing and evolving the business, leading teams, and mentoring staff.

**About the role**:

- Provides leadership to our strategic initiative to grow Risk Assessment services across Canada, including marketing activities that communicate our technical excellence.
- Participates in corporate-wide technical governance and innovation initiatives with Practice Leaders from other disciplines.
- Acts as a central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders needing detailed information about Risk Assessment.
- Develops and maintains key client relationships and supports growth of the team and business.
- Maintains a high level of technical expertise by remaining involved in complex or specialized projects.
- Mentors project managers and technical staff overseeing projects involving multiple service areas and subcontracts as well as stakeholder, client and / or schedule challenges.
- Clearly communicates and provides expert support and advice within and outside of the organization.

**About you**:

- Recognized as an expert in contaminated site investigations and regulatory closure with a dedication to and passion for your discipline.
- Professionally registered in a related discipline (P.Ag, P.Geo, P.Eng, P.Bio, P.Chem).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in contaminated sites and/or risk assessments.
- Expert understanding of contaminated sites regulatory requirements in home Province/Territory and experience working in Canadian regions outside home Province/Territory.
- Consulting acumen, including an entrepreneurial spirit, strong self-direction, and overarching belief in client satisfaction.
- Strong people skills and an ability to work in a team environment.
- Experience in leading, mentoring, and training staff.
- Proven verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in a second language including French or Spanish an asset.
- Experience within land development, mining and/or transportation sectors is an asset.
- Hold, or eligible for, a standards-based CSAP designation in BC, is an asset.
