CONCRETE FORMER AND FINISHER

JOB DESCRIPTION:
You will need to be a skilled labourer who is responsible for finishing concrete surfaces and use various tools and techniques to create different textures and finishes on concrete surfaces. This is a physically demanding job that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a team environment. You must be able to read blueprints, follow specifications and work with other trades to ensure that the finished product meets the project requirements. You must have a knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, and curing processes. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality and safety standards.

Concrete Finisher duties and responsibilities

Concrete Finisher requirements and qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications. Experience with various types of concrete finishing techniques. Physical stamina and ability to work in outdoor environments. Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in concrete finishing
- Certification in concrete finishing preferred. Ability to use various hand and power tools. Excellent communication and teamwork skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more as needed
- Must be able to stand on concrete for long periods of time

WORKING CONDITIONS:

- Exposure to heat, cold, rain and dust on a regular basis
- Potentially long hours
- Noisy environment

**MUST have reliable transportation to travel to various job sites throughout the GTA**

**Salary**: $37.75 to 45.50 /hour
