**Position Summary**:Reporting to the Sales Supervisor, the **Sales Representative** will be responsible for driving revenue growth in an assigned territory based in Sudbury, Ontario. This role is focused on acquiring both Commercial and Residential propane clients, with a strong emphasis on new business development. As a Sales Rep, you will leverage your industry expertise and proven sales skills to manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, while maintaining long-term customer relationships. This is a key role in Avenir Energy’s mission to become North America’s leading propane distributor.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Meet or exceed sales targets for both Residential propane and HVAC services, ensuring profitability in volume and margin.
- Grow the Commercial Propane segment by dedicating 80% of your time to prospecting for new business opportunities and 20% to managing existing accounts.
- Collaborate closely with internal operations and support teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities using the company’s CRM tool.
- Analyze and monitor sales performance through regular reviews of volume, account numbers, and profit margins.
- Stay informed of provincial propane regulations and comply with all company safety policies.
- Complete administrative tasks, including expense reporting and commission tracking.
- Travel is required, including some overnight stays.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience with a consistent track record of success in meeting and exceeding targets.
- Exceptional communication skills, with bilingual proficiency being an asset.
- Formal sales training, whether through courses or on-the-job experience, is highly preferred.
- Industry-specific knowledge in propane or fuels is an advantage, but not required.
- A proactive, results-oriented mindset with the ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
- Strong customer service focus, with experience delivering solutions that drive client satisfaction.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
