_Deployment and Special Events Coordinator_
- Reporting to the Executive Director, the Deployment & Special Events Coordinator is a full-time position responsible for the development and delivery of the Deployment Services that provide military families with resources and supports. This position is also responsible for the planning and execution of the Centre’s Special Events to engage the community and stakeholders and overall, to enhance the quality of life for military families._

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Post-secondary education preferably in Marketing, Public or Community Relations, Event Planning or Project Management or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong administrative, organizational and planning skills
- Experience in program planning and delivery
- Ability to research, collect and analyze data
- Experience developing and delivering presentations
- Ability to manage a budget
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office and online platforms such as Zoom, Mailchimp and social media
- Experience in community events planning or fundraising
- Ability to network and manage stakeholders
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Valid Manitoba Driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Criminal record and child abuse clearance required
- Familiarity with military lifestyle and French considered an asset

**OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES**

**1. Deployment**
- **Information & Referral**:Link military families with the resources within their community that will help them navigate their deployment journey.
- **Warm Line Support**: Provide tailored communication with military families throughout their deployment to develop rapport and promote service utilization.
- **Programs & Activities**:Organize and facilitate programs and activities that foster resilience and provide military families the opportunity to build a strong support network.
- **Morale Mail**:Assist military families with sending care packages to loved ones.
- **Service Evaluation**: Ensure deployment services address community needs and current deployment challenges.
- **Collaboration with Units**: Work collaboratively with CFB Shilo units to ensure families feel connected and informed during deployments.

**2. Special Events**:

- **Community engagement**:Conduct outreach to engage the community and maximize awareness of the MFRC.
- **Stakeholder Management**: Identify and maintain partnerships with community stakeholders and external organizations.
- **Event Planning**:Manage event planning from inception to execution.

**3. General**:

- Adhere to all Shilo MFRC policies and procedures
- Work flexible hours as needed/ required - evenings and weekends
- Other duties as assigned

**Salary range: 54,971 - 60,100 annually**
