**The Opportunity**

As Policy Analyt, your primary function is to manage assigned policy projects including research and data requests, consultation with executive, managers and other internal and external stakeholders and technical experts; analysis, development and presentation of policy and program alternatives; and development of recommendations on a wide range of issues that affect Legal Aid BC. This position is responsible for ensuring that Legal Aid BC policies reflect the foundational principles of Truth and Reconciliation, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.

**Key accountabilities include, but aren't limited to**:
**Leads/Participates In Research, Analysis, Development and Evaluation of LABC Policy And Procedures**:
a) Initiates and undertakes the development or review of new or amended policies and initiatives, including identifying issues, conducting research, synthesizing information, analyzing costs, impacts, risk and benefit, assessing risk and developing mitigation strategies, and surveying other jurisdictions and researching best practices;
b) Identifies program and policy gaps and limitations and develops action plans to address identified issues;
c) Creates a work environment that embodies Truth and Reconciliation, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion to lead/facilitate consultative processes with internal stakeholders to obtain feedback on proposed policy and legislation;
d) Develops options consistent with LABC goals and priorities and incorporates evidence-based, comprehensive research and analysis;
e) Plans, leads and participates in policy analysis and studies, conceptualizes and develops policy frameworks for initiatives and policy options;
**More About You**:

- Bachelor of Arts degree from an accredited university
- minimum 3 years’ relevant experience as outlined in rated requirements
- minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role
- MS Word
- Intermediate Level
- MS Excel - Intermediate Level
- OR an equivalent combination of education/experience
- All LABC employees are required to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of hire and ongoing employment._
