**Salary**: CAD 150,689 - CAD 214,139 per annum

Our Capital Projects Group - GO & UP team is looking to hire Director, Lakeshores and USRC. This dynamic role will provide strategic leadership and direction for the design, development, and execution of signalling capital infrastructure projects encompassing the GO rail corridors with the objective of building a comprehensive regional rapid transit network to meet the corporate mandate and business objectives while adhering to Metrolinx’s highest standards for safety, efficiency, and legal/regulatory/policy compliance, while delivering excellent customer experience.
**What will I be doing?**
- Providing strategic and tactical leadership and direction to the project delivery team to deliver large-scale signalling capital railway infrastructure projects throughout the GO rail corridors.
- Leading the strategic project planning for signalling projects, including, design, staging, and tendering of commuter rail infrastructure that integrates and expands upon existing GO Transit and municipal services and operations; directs the creation of a phasing plan to identify optimal sequencing of infrastructure and service construction and deployment.
- Directing and coordinating the delivery of signalling projects encompassing design, construction, commissioning, and deployment into operational service in accordance with Metrolinx standards, technical standards, corporate project management standards, procedures, controls, and environmental requirements to minimize the impact on service and to maintain a high level of customer service.
- Overseeing alternative service concept development while incorporating current and future infrastructure requirements to ensure seamless introduction of new services.
- Coordinating the design and implementation of signal infrastructure for the assigned project to ensure seamless integration within the corridor; and
- Leading or contributing to business case formulation and analysis to derive recommendations, supporting decision making, justifying resource commitments, and securing funding as related to future signalling projects.
- Developing and managing annual and long-term budgets associated with the signalling project that adhere to corporate standards and applicable legislation.

- Providing senior leadership oversight of strategic plans and design and construction activities for adherence to regulatory codes, processes, and protocols. Conducting strategic research and planning, planning, policy, and operational decisions, identifying areas of improvement to develop recommendations for proposed projects, consistent with corporate strategies and business objectives while considering the full network, and interactions between RER and other existing and planned projects;
**What skills & qualifications do I need?**
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- 10+ years of experience in the commuter rail industry, specifically signaling projects.
- 10+ years of experience in a senior leadership role.
- Knowledge of legal/regulatory requirements governing passenger rail services,
- Experience in delivery of Signalling projects.
- Previous experience leading high profile/multi-million-dollar projects Project management experience in design development and construction of major complex multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects. As a member of the senior management team, available outside of regular office hours as needed.
