Kennel Attendant

**Job description**

**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, administering medications and letting dogs out.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and common spaces to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Monitor the health and behaviour of animals, reporting any concerns to management.
- Assist with customer service duties, including greeting clients.
- Administer medications as directed by veterinarians or management.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect both animals and staff.
- Assist with the intake and discharge process for pets, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with animals is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed (up to 50 pounds).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their care.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- A reliable vehicle is required to ensure you can properly make it to your scheduled shifts on time.
- Preference to applicants that live within 5 minutes of our facility.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 16 per week
