**Job Description: Cooler Team Member - Floral Warehouse**

**Reports to: Inventory and Cooler Manager**

**Position Overview**

**Work Availability**:
**Key Responsibilities**:Your role will encompass the execution of tasks pertinent to the Cooler Team Member positions, along with additional responsibilities that may be assigned to you from time to time.

**Cooler Operations Support**
- Assist with the receiving, unpacking, and organizing of floral stock in the cooler, ensuring products are stored properly to maintain freshness.
- Monitor and rotate floral inventory to prevent spoilage, ensuring flowers are kept in optimal conditions at 4°C.
- Take ownership of tasks, demonstrating reliability in meeting deadlines and ensuring accuracy in all duties.

**Quality Control**
- Inspect floral products for freshness, quality, and condition, removing any damaged or wilted items from the cooler.
- Ensure that floral stock meets the company’s standards for quality before it is distributed to customers.
- Report any quality concerns to the Cooler Manager for resolution, holding oneself accountable for maintaining product integrity.

**Organization and Cleanliness**
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing cooler environment, following company guidelines for the arrangement and display of floral products.
- Ensure all flowers are clearly labeled and stored in their appropriate sections for easy access and tracking.
- Assist in cleaning and maintaining the cooler area, including shelving and workstations, to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
- Demonstrate accountability for maintaining an orderly cooler area that meets operational standards.

**Team Collaboration**
- Work closely with the cooler, receiving and sales teams to ensure the smooth flow of products in and out of the cooler.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, including helping with inventory management, audit, and preparing for seasonal peaks.
- Exhibit reliability in supporting team efforts and being available to help in high-demand situations.

**Safety Responsibilities**
- Follow all safety protocols when working in the cooler and warehouse environments, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Use proper lifting techniques when handling heavy boxes and floral products to prevent injury.
- Ensure the cooler remains free of hazards, such as spills or obstructions, to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
- Report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions immediately to the Cooler Manager.

**Qualifications**
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality.
- Reliability and accountability in completing tasks and meeting operational deadlines.
- Ability to work and stand in cooler temperatures (as low as 4°C) for extended periods.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or floral environment is an asset but not required.
- Good organizational skills and ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
- Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 50lbs.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Comfortable/able to work in cooler environments (4°C) for extended periods of time.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

This role is ideal for a dependable and accountable individual who enjoys working with flowers in a cooler environment, and is committed to maintaining the quality, organization, and timely processing of floral products in a warehouse setting. The Cooler Team Member ensures smooth operations within the cooler and plays a key role in supporting the success of our business.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
