Red Deer, Canada PISTON WELL SERVICES INC. Full time

We are a mid-sized company specialized in well control, snubbing, milling, fishing, complex P&A and HWO, and we have a new opportunity for someone to lead our HSE/HR department. The position is full time, based at our office in Red Deer, AB, and includes field and on-call duties.

Qualifications include:

- At least 5 years of hands-on field experience in well servicing (snubbing units, service rigs, etc) with established knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
- Excellent report writing, computer and documentation skills.
- At least 3 years experience in an HSE or HR capacity in the upstream O&G service sector.
- Strong managerial and soft skills such as organization, communication, reliability and presentation.
- Ambitious and able to learn, be resourceful, work and manage time in a high pace environment as part of a team to achieve goals.
- Site & equipment access requirements (H2S, First Aid, Fall Protection, driver’s license).

Tasks & responsibilities include:

- Traveling to sites in Alberta and BC for safety coaching and inspections, support operations and liaise with customer & regulatory reps
- Policy, procedure, forms and manual control & development
- Employee onboarding, training oversight and support crew coordinating
- Internal auditing, system monitoring, improvement plans
- Problem solving, investigation, root cause analysis
- Digital registries and WCB case management

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Red Deer, AB T4P 1A7. Must be able to reliably commute from nearby, or plan to relocate.

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)
- Certified in accredited Problem Solving, RCA or Incident Investigation
- Internal COR Auditor (preferred)

**Experience**:

- HSE or HR Management: at least 3 years
