**Role**:
Transportation and Economic Corridors has an exciting opportunity for a Business Support Analyst to join their busy Project Management Office team in the Construction and Maintenance Division. If you are looking for a challenging yet exciting opportunity, look no further and apply

The Project Management Office (PMO) is mandated to provide consistent tools, training, and methodology for project administrators (PAs) within the Division.
Reporting to the Manager of the Project Management Office, the Business Support Analyst supports the PMO's mission to achieve this mandate.

This is accomplished by evaluating the project management processes and tools that are being used in the Department today including templates, construction and project management manuals, standards, and project management methodology across the province within the Division. It also involves analysis, research, and evaluation of Government of Alberta and industry project management processes and tools, for the purpose of implementation in the future.

**The main responsibilities for Business Support Analyst are (but not limited to)**:

- Supporting the Construction and Maintenance Division to provide services related to business processes, best practices, standards definition, business rules, and workflows that support project management processes and methodology in Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors.
- With direction from the manager of the Project Management Office, the Business Support Analyst will coordinate and implement the update of critical procedural materials used across the department. The incumbent will collaborate with other project management office team members in the updating of procedural materials, which include manuals, guidelines, standards, policies, templates, forms, training materials, and flowcharts.
- The Business Support Analyst delivers clear, concise, high-quality documents for consumption internally, and externally including the public. This includes conducting research, planning, consulting, developing, and implementing business solutions for the project administrators within the division. The incumbent will ensure materials are completed within the necessary timelines, and ensure adherence to government standards for style, grammar, and format.
- A key responsibility of this role is to review current project management processes, ensuring that processes are well documented, understood, and accessible to all stakeholders. The incumbent must constantly look for opportunities to improve the department’s information management practices.
- The position requires the incumbent to undertake research and critical review of new and existing articles on project and change management to support the goals of the PMO

**Qualifications**:
**Required**:

- 2-year diploma in a related field plus 2 years related experience; or equivalent as below

**Equivalency**: Directly related education or experience considered based on:

- 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
- 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.

**Desired**:

- Requires skills and experience with project management processes, process mapping, technical writing, and facilitation.
- Excellent communication and writing skills are essential.
- Advanced understanding of document management for online publishing updates to existing procedural documents, or new procedural documents.
- Proficiency in SharePoint Online / SharePoint 2016
