**Accounting Manager**

As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our firm overall, and our multiple locations, managing a team of skilled professionals, and ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of services to our clients. You will play a pivotal role in driving business growth, fostering a collaborative work environment, and upholding our firm's commitment to excellence. You will be working out of our Sidney office from 9 am - 5 pm, Monday to Friday. *Additional hours may be required during tax season*

- Your role’s duties and key responsibilities include:_
- Lead and mentor staff, providing guidance and support to internal teams
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other financial reports in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Collaborate with clients to understand their financial needs and provide strategic advice and solutions
- Stay current with changes in accounting regulations, tax laws, and industry trends, and ensure compliance with relevant standards
- Drive process improvements and efficiencies within each location to optimize productivity and enhance client satisfaction
- Perform other special projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and improve accounting practices
- Manage workload and deadlines independently
- Skills and experience:_
- CPA designation is a must
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public practice accounting, with a focus on managing client engagements and leading teams (minimum 2 years of experience in a management role)
- Strong technical knowledge of Canadian accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain positive client relationships
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Office
- Salary + Perks:_
