**Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field

**Other Requirements**:
Proficiency in English and French, both oral and written;
Three or more years experience as an IT Analyst, IT Asset analyst, IT compliance, IT budgeting/financial analyst or in a similar role;
Experience producing financial and information security reports for government agencies;
Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills;
Advanced knowledge of Excel and BI tools;
Industry certifications such as CISA, CISSP, and ITIL are an asset

**Salary scale as per the SPPOQA Collective Agreement**:
$26.66 To $45.70 per hour

Nature of the work

The IT Analyst is responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing and implementing solutions, compliance and reporting activities and the asset management lifecycle. The role also involves project lifecycle tracking and preparing and tracking IT budget forecasts and information security audit and compliance reports for internal and external entities (e.g. government ministries, external auditors).

The analyst designs, analyzes, evaluates and applies professional techniques relating to financial management, business intelligence, information security and procurement/asset management activities among others.

Daily Tasks/Dossiers

Produce IT financial, Asset and Information Security reports to the school board and government ministries (e.g. MCN, MEES, SCT)

Analyze business requirements and design solutions that meet the needs of the organization

Prepare financial forecasts and budgets for IT projects and initiatives

Assist in the development and maintenance of IT asset management policies and procedures and own the asset management lifecycle, including procurement, tracking, disposal, and maintenance of IT assets

Assist in responding to audit inquiries and provide evidence to demonstrate compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards

Assist in conducting risk assessments and audits to identify potential security risks and develop plans to mitigate them

Leverage data visualization tools for planning, execution and reporting purposes

Provide guidance and direction regarding security control elements in policies throughout the organization

Collaborate with key stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, and vendors/CAG

Stay up-to-date with changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards related to IT compliance, financial management, and information security, and assist the organization to be in compliance

Perform various analyses to meet the department's information needs, prepare specific documents and reports

Perform all other related tasks assigned by the immediate superior

Expérience de la production de rapports sur la sécurité financière et de l’information pour des organismes gouvernementaux;
Solides compétences d’analyse, de planification et de résolution de problèmes;
Connaissance approfondie des outils Excel et IA (e.g. Power BI);
Les certifications de l’industrie telles que CISA, CISSP, et ITIL sont un atout

Échelle de salaire selon la convention collective du SPPOQA
